AmTech Engineering's design staff utilizes the latest in CAD and 3D parametric design. Use of customer electronic drawing files, including 3D models, is frequently employed to reduce the time and cost of the engineering process. We are able to communicate in utilizing nearly any software, including, AutoCad Mechanical Desktop 2005, ProEngineer with Wildfire 2.0 (3D modeling capabilities), Cimco G-code Editor, Inventor Series 10, CAD files with (.dwg, .dxf, .prt, .asm, .igs, .par, and .stp) and Mastercam Version X² MR1. AmTech has the most advanced software available, Zeiss Calypso, to interface between engineering design software and our CMM. Our engineers are highly regarded for designing sophisticated fixtures utilizing pneumatic and hydraulic technology and proprietary cutting tools to meet the most exacting standards. Our extensive experience in fixture, tool and computer-related technology allows us to provide concurrent engineering support, thereby minimizing manufacturing costs to our customers. This capability also reduces development and tooling time to hasten delivery of prototype and production components, and addresses customers’ continually constrained product cycles.

Our engineering staff is experienced with many raw material processes such as sand, permanent mold, investment, v-process castings as well as design of extrusions, forgings, hog-outs, weldments and stampings.
